WHAT MAKES US STAND OUT
EVERYDAY ENGLISH
Children have English classes every day. Additionally, an English-speaking teacher spends at least 3 hours a day with each group, accompanying them during meals, walks or indoor and outdoor activities. This encourages natural second language interactions between the teacher and the children in a completely stress-free manner. Preschoolers begin to regard the English language as a natural element of their everyday lives. We actively participate the International Program for Universal Bilingualism and employ other effective methods of teaching a second language, including: global reading in English, Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and more. We collaborate with British preschools, providing our preschoolers with the opportunity to interact with English-speaking children.
EVERYDAY ECOLOGY
We have developed our own ecological program, which aims to raise awareness among children about the ecological issues facing our world today and teach them to care for nature. We educate our pupils in environmentally friendly and regenerative practices through our play-based, child-directed curriculum. We promote nature play and a connection with the natural world. During daily activities, preschoolers deepen their understanding of ecology, prepare mini performances on caring for our planet, or grow vegetables. Each room is equipped with separate bins for plastic, paper and mixed waste. We refrain from using plastic toys and tableware. Additionally, the preschool actively participates in the International Eco-Schools programme.
NATURAL PLAYGROUND AND VAST GREEN AREA
The preschool is located on a 3500-square-meter plot full of greenery. We even have a private forest where we take our preschoolers. Following the ecological approach, we have created a natural playground made of wood. Children have ample space to play, including a vegetable patch or children's dens.
SMALL GROUPS
The preschool is intimate, with currently two groups of 15 children each. This setup enables teachers to develop a deeper understanding of each child, provide individualised attention, discover their potential, and offer support when required. We prioritize the child's needs, fostering a sense of security.
PLASTIC-FREE PRESCHOOL SPACE
At our preschool, plastic toys have no place. We prioritise natural materials, with children engaging in play using wooden railway tracks, puzzles, animal figurines, and fabric dolls. The only exceptions are LEGO bricks which are utilised during LEGO Education classes. When selecting toys and educational aids, we draw inspiration from Montessori pedagogical approach. Furthermore, preschoolers dine on glass and china tableware- we avoid plastic plates and cups.
SUPPORT FOR PARENTS IN BILINGUALISM
Our aim is to inspire parents with the concept of bilingualism and encourage them to incorporate English into their homes. We provide ongoing support, allowing parents to consult with our qualified staff whenever necessary. Additionally, with parents in mind, we have developed a newsletter detailing the preschool's English-speaking daily life and offering various activities for parents to engage in with their children, along with printable language resources. We believe that parental involvement is crucial in ensuring a well-rounded second language learning experience for the child. Together, we will chart the next steps of English learning for each child, ensuring they all reach their full potential.
ANIMALS
Our preschool is animal-friendly. In each room, preschoolers have their own animal companion,, which they care for alongside their teachers. We have plans to construct a chicken coop, allowing children to collect eggs. Additionally, we are preparing to launch a mini zoo.
INDEPENDENCE
Children are naturally inclined towards independence. We foster self-reliance by providing ample opportunities for our preschoolers to explore without excessive supervision. During mealtimes, children serve themselves (except for hot items). We refrain from intervening in the children's everyday activities. There is no need to rush. Children dress themselves, clean up, and much more. In such a way, we empower them, enhance confidence in their decision-making, and cultivate a sense of responsibility.
